On Wednesday, November 19, The 59th Annual CMA Awards Aired Live From Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena
Country Music’s biggest night has officially arrived, and excited fans tuned in to cheer on their favorite singers and songwriters.
The event was hosted by Lainey Wilson, who was also one of the most nominated artists of the night. It was her first time hosting solo after making her debut at last year’s ceremony alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan.
Who Are The Nominees For Male Vocalist Of The Year?
One of the categories featured during the broadcast was Male Vocalist of the Year. This category shines a spotlight on male artists who have dominated the country charts with their solo singles and albums.
This year’s nominees for Male Vocalist of the Year were:
- Luke Combs
- Cody Johnson
- Chris Stapleton
- Zach Top
- Morgan Wallen
This marked Chris Stapleton‘s 12th time being nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year. He currently holds the record with eight wins in the category, including last year’s.
Cody Johnson is a four-time nominee, but has yet to take home the trophy.
Luke Combs won the award in 2019, 2020, and 2021, while Morgan Wallen has been in the running three times without a win.
Zach Top stood out as the newcomer in the group, earning his very first CMA nomination this year.
