Alan Jackson’s Grandson Turns Two
It’s hard to believe Alan Jackson’s grandson, Wesley, is already two!
In June of 2024, Alan’s daughter, Mattie, and her husband Connor welcomed their baby boy, Wesley Alan Smith. Wesley is named after his legendary grandfather and also Connor’s grandfather.
Mattie’s first husband, Ben Selecman, died in 2018, just three weeks before their first wedding anniversary. After finding herself a young widow, Mattie shared how her faith helped her process her grief.
Three years later, she found the opportunity to love again when she met her now-husband, Connor. They married in May 2023 and announced the exciting news that they were expecting Wesley less than a year later.
Mattie & Connor Welcome Baby No. 2
Then, in October of 2025, Mattie announced she was expecting her second child, and this time – a girl! Mattie and Connor welcomed Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith on February 13, 2026.
She shared an array of adorable photos of their new little family of 4, including big brother Wesley smitten holding baby girl! Mattie has since shared sweet shots of Wesley and Charlie together.
Alan and his wife Denise have now been blessed with four beautiful grandchildren!
Mattie Shares Precious Photos From Wesley’s Second Birthday Celebration
On Sunday (June 21), Mattie shared precious moments from Wesley’s second birthday.
“I cannot believe my baby boy is TWO,” Mattie wrote. “These have been for sure the fastest and best years of our lives getting to know you, you precious boy. You’ve got a hard head and soft heart and are absolutely everything we dreamed you’d be.”
She posted a carousel of photos of Wesley doing the things he loves and with his cousins and sister.
“More than anything you love trucks (really anything you can ride), bubbles, popsicles, your sister who you always want to hold and all your awesome cousins. You’ve got a village full of people who adore you, wild boy. We love you, Buster Brown!,” she continued.
