Team Reba Singers L. Rodgers & Tae Lewis Deliver Voice Battle Performance Of Carly Pearce & Chris Stapleton Duet

Reba McEntire rushed to save one of her team members during the Voice battles by using her only playoff pass for Season 25.

The battle occurred between Team Reba members L. Rodgers and Tae Lewis. They performed Carly Pearce and Chris Stapleton’s heartbreaking duet, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.”

“We Don’t Fight Anymore” was released in June 2023 as the lead single from Pearce’s album Hummingbird. Pearce once shared how Stapleton “made [her] dreams come true” by agreeing to be her duet partner.

The pair performed the song live for the first time at the CMA Awards in November 2023.

L. Rodgers and Tae Lewis took to the Voice stage during the first night of the battles to perform their take on “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” Their performance enchanted the coaches, especially their own coach, Reba McEntire.

Once they finished singing, McEntire said:

Guys I’m so proud of y’all, that was absolutely more than I could have wished for. Your emotion, your commitment to the song, your dynamics, everything was perfect.”

After taking a moment to think it over, McEntire chose Lewis as the battle winner!

But that wasn’t the end of Rodgers’ time on the show. McEntire rushed to save the talented vocalist by using her only playoff pass of the season, keeping Rodgers on her team!

The funny thing is, Chance the Rapper tried to use his “steal” on Rodgers. But, McEntire’s playoff pass trumped his steal.

I only get one playoff pass,” Reba McEntire said after the fact. “I thought L. was worth it.

In addition to being saved by the playoff pass, Rodgers gets to bypass the knockouts and skip straight to the playoffs. We’d say things turned out alright for both her and Lewis!
