Reba Leads “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” Sing Along On “The Voice”

The Voice / X

Season 25 of The Voice is already becoming one of the most fun seasons yet!

Coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and newcomers Dan + Shay have upped the ante when fighting for contestants. In just the first episode, three coaches used their hilarious tactics on one singer alone!

From John Legend’s inflatable man, to Reba’s “Queen of Country” scepter, all the coaches had little gimmicks they were ready to use!

Despite all the bantering during all the Blind Auditions, the coaches are clearly having a good time! In one behind the scenes clip, John, Chance, and Dan + Shay were making their way to the set and talking about how impressive their teams were, but in the background you can hear the audience clapping to a beat and Reba’s faint singing in the background.

Turns out, she was leading a sing along with the audience to the tune of her hit song “Why Haven’t I Heard From You.”

Reba released “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” in 1994 off her album Read My Mind.

The song, which was written by Sandy Knox and T.W. Hale, follows the story of a woman puzzled by her lover’s sudden disappearance. With its catchy melody and clever lyrics, it blends elements of traditional country with pop sensibilities.

Her powerhouse vocals bring the song to life, perfectly capturing the frustration and confusion of the protagonist. “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” became a success on the chart, peaking at number five and solidified McEntire’s status as one of country music’s leading artists and showcasing her ability to deliver memorable performances with flair.

Reba led the audience in a sing along.

Reba spent her off-camera time with the audience, leading them in a fun sing along! She started it as a call and answer with both sides and the audience looked like they were having the best time!

We wish we were in the audience for this moment! Watch it below.
