Superstar Collaborations Highlight The 2024 ACM Awards
Noah Kahan and Kelsea Ballerini joined the roster of superstar acts who performed at the 2024 ACM Awards. The annual awards ceremony was held on Thursday, May 16, and was hosted by country music legend Reba McEntire.
The ACM Awards are known for showcasing outstanding collaborations. Over the years, we’ve watched artists such as Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood, as well as Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert, share unforgettable duets during the event.
This year’s ceremony featured collaborations between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne, and Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan.
Who Is Noah Kahan?
Noah Kahan’s breakout moment came in 2017 when his song “Hurt Somebody” reached the 24th spot on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
But Kahan’s popularity skyrocketed in 2023 when his song, “Stick Season,” went viral on TikTok. The track peaked at the #2 spot on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. It also reached #9 on the all-genre Hot 100 chart.
“Stick Season” has since been certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA.
Many other hits have followed for Kahan. Those songs include “Dial Drunk,” “She Calls Me Back,” and “Forever,” among others.
Kahan received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2024.
His success has led him to work with some major names in the music industry. A few of his past collaborators include Kacey Musgraves, Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, and Post Malone.
Kelsea Ballerini & Noah Kahan Team Up For Duet During The ACM Awards
Kahan participated in another collaboration when he joined Kelsea Ballerini for a mashup performance at the 2024 ACM Awards.
Ballerini and Kahan united in singing her song, “Mountain with a View,” from her ACM-nominated EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. The duo also joined forces for a special duet version of “Stick Season.”
Ballerini started singing “Mountain with a View” first in a dream-like setting. Then she turned things over to Kahan, who kicked into “Stick Season” solo.
Then, Ballerini jumped in to sing with him on the chorus before reintroducing “Mountain with a View” into the mashup. It was undoubtedly one of the most unique performances of the night!
Many viewers felt like their duet was a highlight of the ceremony!
