Wilson delivered a powerful acceptance speech after winning Female Artist of the Year. She thanked her family, her team, and Jesus. She also paid tribute to the female artists who paved the path for her…including her fellow nominees.

She ended her speech by saying:

“I made so many sacrifices – missing a lot of weddings and funerals. Not like I want to go to all of them anyway, but I’m just saying. For the little girls watching this, this stands for hard work. If you are going to be a dreamer, you better be a doer.”

Lainey Wilson Proves Herself With 2 Incredible Performances

Just minutes after Wilson claimed the Female Artist of the Year award, she took to the stage for not one, but two incredible performances.

For starters, Wilson joined Jelly Roll as his surprise duet partner on a new song, “Save Me.” The pair previously recorded the track, and it’s now available to everyone.

After singing with Jelly Roll, Wilson burst into a solo performance of her song “Grease.” The song is featured as a track on her album Bell Bottom Country, which won the ACM’s Album of the Year award.
