In a heartfelt announcement on social media on Wednesday, May 8th, Bunnie XO, wife of musician Jelly Roll, shared the unfortunate news of her father Bill’s passing following his courageous fight against cancer.
Bill, a beloved member of Jelly Roll and Bunnie’s household, had been bravely facing Stage 4 cancer since his diagnosis in the latter part of the previous summer.
Despite the severity of his condition, which led to his admission into hospice care in November, Bill exhibited a tremendous will to live, showing significant improvement over the subsequent months.
Amidst his battle, Bill underwent hip replacement surgery in February, prompting Bunnie to lightheartedly nickname him “bionic Bill.”

His absence now leaves a profound void in their home and hearts, as Bunnie emotionally shares, “Hey Bill, I’m going to miss you. You are still my favorite rock star & my hero. This one’s going to hurt.”
Bunnie ended her post on a more lighthearted note, saying, “Rest easy & don’t make too many angels fall in love.”

Just a day before Bill’s untimely departure, Bunnie was actively participating in her husband’s 5K walk/run event in Pasadena, California.
The suddenness of Bill’s death has left many in shock, and the specifics of his life outside of his battle with cancer, including details about his wife and any other children, remain largely unknown.
