“[In 2024 I plan to] put out a bunch more music and spend more time with my daughter,” the singer told Audacy’s Katie & Company.
“I gotta get back to my family a little bit, man. One of the costs of having a stellar year was sacrificing a little bit of personal time with the family, and I’m just spread so thin. I want to make sure that I can get back to getting in the bunker with them.”
Jelly Roll’s teenage daughter Bailee Ann was born during his time of incarceration.
In his youth, Jelly Roll found himself entangled with a less-than-ideal crowd, leading him to a stint in a juvenile detention center. As he transitioned into adulthood, he faced a period of incarceration.
During this challenging time, Jelly Roll experienced the transformative journey of becoming a father for the first time, with his daughter Bailee Ann arriving in 2008 while he was still behind bars.

Jelly Roll has opened up about how his wife, Bunnie XO, played a crucial role in securing custody of his only daughter, Bailey.
In a Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Jelly revealed that Bunnie, financially successful at the time, played a crucial role by providing the funds for him to secure custody of Bailee Ann.
“She said, ‘No matter what happens with us, I’m gonna help you get this little girl.’ And I was like, ‘Man, what character,’” he expressed, his voice filled with emotion.
