Exciting news from the Robertson family!

Duck Dynasty star Missy Robertson has shared a hopeful update about her daughter Mia, who recently underwent her 16th surgery.

Fans have been on this emotional rollercoaster with the family, cheering Mia on through her incredible journey.

Born in 2003, Mia is the youngest of Jase and Missy Robertson’s three children. From the very beginning, life threw some challenges her way, as she was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. Her first surgery took place when she was just three months old. That was just the beginning of a long series of medical procedures.

Over the years, Mia has faced numerous surgeries, each one a step toward her bright future. In 2022, she underwent what was hoped to be her final surgery, but life had other plans. She then had to have another major operation in August 2023.

Once she was fully recovered, Mia embarked on an exciting journey and spent some time studying abroad.

Unfortunately, just last month, Mia had to undergo yet another surgery, this one being her 16th.

Missy reached out to her followers, asking for prayers as they prepared for Mia’s latest surgery in Dallas, Texas. She wrote:

“Just another night in a very familiar hotel room. I don’t say ‘last’ and I don’t say ‘minor’ anymore, but I still ask for prayers. [Mia Robertson] undergoes #16 tomorrow.”

Just one week later, Missy shared an update on Mia’s 16th surgery with fans.

The outcome turned out to be better than they could have hoped! Missy joyfully announced that Mia’s surgery went exceptionally well and described her recovery as “one of the best” they’ve experienced.

“Mia’s recovery has been one of the best ones ever! She is moved in for her Junior Year in college at [Lipscomb University] and will be ready for the first day when it comes. Thank you so much for your continued prayers for her during this cleft journey!”

After missing the start of her sophomore year due to another surgery, we are sure this milestone feels particularly sweet. We are so happy for Mia!
