Actor Matthew Perry passed away on October 28 at the age of 54. His passing devastated his family, friends, and fans.

Perry acted in many movies and TV shows over the years. But he was most well-known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends for ten seasons.

Two days after Perry died, his five Friends co-stars released a joint statement. They said:

Matt LeBlanc Says He Will “Never Forget” His Dear Friend & “Brother” Matthew Perry

Perry was laid to rest during a private, two-hour ceremony at Forest Lawn Memorial Park six days after he passed away. All five of his Friends co-stars reportedly attended the service.

LeBlanc was the first of the five to address Perry’s passing on his own social media account. He shared a touching tribute to his dear friend on Tuesday (November 14).

Courteney Cox shared her own tribute a few hours later.

The slideshow LeBlanc posted contains several photos of him and Perry together on the set of Friends. He played Joey Tribbiani, who was Chandler’s best friend and roommate for a large portion of the series.

In his tribute, LeBlanc wrote:

Matthew…It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
