Breanna Nix Achieves Success With Debut Single, “Higher,” Following Third-Place Finish On American Idol
Breanna Nix’s career is taking off to even “higher” heights following her run on Season 23 of American Idol.
Breanna quickly established herself as a frontrunner in the competition. Fans fell in love with her beautiful voice as she sang “Jesus, Take the Wheel” for the judges in the audition room.
Her husband, Austin, played piano for her performance. Judge Carrie Underwood held the couple’s son, Emerson, who fell asleep in her arms while Breanna sang.
As the competition sped along, Breanna continued to amaze viewers and the judges with her powerful voice and unshakable faith. Many of her song choices highlighted her love for Jesus, including covers of “Something in the Water” and “In Jesus Name (God of Possible).”
Breanna advanced to the finale and ultimately placed third behind runner-up John Foster and champion Jamal Roberts.
Each of the three finalists released debut singles, with Breanna sharing a profound track titled “Higher.” Her song reached the #1 spot on the country songs chart on iTunes. It remained within the Top 10 for some time after that.
Additionally, “Higher” reached the #2 spot on the all-genre iTunes chart, with Jamal’s debut single, “Heal,” ranking at #1. John Foster’s debut single, “Tell That Angel I Love Her,” ranked at #3 on the same chart.
