In the cryptic post, she shared that they were facing “very tense, heart-wrenching things happening at home with family,” and added:

“It’s been a different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours.”

LeAnn did not provide additional details on the challenging circumstances at the time, but expressed “deep gratitude” for the love that she and her spouse share. She continued:

“Day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life, and god, i’m so grateful that it’s with each other. We’ve been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. We know how to ride the waves, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. i’m so proud of what we have created together.”

The 43-year-old has been battling the effects of a “diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis,” which forced her to postpone a series of shows in April. She expressed how difficult the decision was, but added:

“For years, I’ve overridden my body and mind, performing at times when I knew I shouldn’t, out of fear of disappointing my fans, who mean so much to me. and the guilt has always weighed heavily, which doesn’t help my healing one bit.”

LeAnn admits that the combination has left her feeling “sick, emotionally overwhelmed, exhausted, and scared,” but emphasizes the importance of taking time to heal.

“So for now, i’m healing, feeling everything, letting myself be human. and, let me tell you… that little 13 year old version of me is jumping for joy, knowing that this 43 year old version is putting her first this time around.”
