Yellowstone‘s Luke Grimes Shares News About Debut EP & Also Announces New Tour Dates

At last, we have news about Luke Grimes’ debut EP!

Most people know Grimes as an actor. He’s starred in movies such as American Sniper, The Magnificent Seven, and the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

But Grimes is most well-known for playing John Dutton’s son Kayce on the hit Paramount series Yellowstone.

On top of being an actor, Grimes is also a country music artist. He’s fairly new to the music world, but has already experienced a lot of success.

Grimes released his debut song, “No Horse to Ride,” in December 2022. The song earned millions of streams and was featured on Yellowstone.

Finally, Grimes shared the news his fans have been waiting to hear. On Monday (September 18) he announced he’s dropping his debut EP in a little over a month!

“I dont [sic] deserve this,” Grimes said. “Full stop. Yet, here it is. Im [sic] so grateful to everyone who has helped me get here. A dream of putting music out in the world and getting to share it live is now something of a reality. Thank you for listening and showing up.”

Grimes shared that his new EP is titled Pain Pills Or Pews, and it’s set for release on October 20.

According to udiscovermusic, six of the album’s eight tracks were written by Grimes. The project was produced by esteemed producer Dave Cobb.

Luke Grimes Is Going On Tour Too

As if the EP news wasn’t exciting enough, Grimes had another announcement to share. He’s going on a small tour at the end of the year.

He booked eight shows in November and December, and the dates are as follows:

11/10 Philadelphia, PA, Theatre of Living Arts
11/30 Minneapolis, MN, First Avenue
12/1 Rosemont, IL, Joe’s Live
12/7 Dallas, TX, The Factory in Deep Ellum
12/9 Austin, TX, Emo’s
12/15 Washington, DC, 9:30 Club
12/16 Boston, MA, Royale

Grimes shared on Instagram that tickets for the tour go on sale Friday (September 22). According to udiscovermusic, he also plans to release “Burn” that same day. So stay tuned!
