Mamie Laverock’s family has shared a new, hopeful update regarding the actress’s condition.

Mamie Laverock, known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan in When Calls The Heart, was hospitalized on May 11 to receive treatment for an undisclosed medical issue.

The 19-year-old’s mother, Nicole, had first taken her to a hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, before she was transferred later to a hospital in Vancouver.

“Her recovery is unclear at this time but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement,” a GoFundMe page started by her family first revealed.

At the time, Mamie’s family believed that she would be staying there for “upwards of a month or more.”

Then, an unfortunate and scary situation unfolded just two weeks into her treatment.

On May 26, Mamie reportedly was taken out of a “secure unit” of the hospital and escorted to a balcony walkway. It was there that she fell down five stories, resulting in her being placed on life support due to life-threatening injuries.

“We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories…We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”

Following the incident, many of Mamie’s co-stars from When Calls The Heart, including Johanna Newmarch, Erin Krakow, and Loretta Walsh, came together to support the family and asked the public to do the same through their social media.

Despite the severity of the situation, Mamie’s family had continued to update the public through the GoFundMe page.

The latest update provided some more positive news on the actress’s health. Her mother refrained from providing details about Mamie’s injuries but mentioned that her body was “shattered” and she was experiencing “tremendous pain.” However, she was “doing well” and finally out of surgery!

“Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard everyday…It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support.”

We are happy to hear the hopeful update from Mamie Laverock’s family and continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
