Netflix’s hit show Virgin River hasn’t even premiered Season 5, and Season 6 Was Just Announced
Every year in the middle of May, TV networks announce which shows they plan on renewing for more seasons, and which shows are caput. While they are technically not a television network, Netflix also revealed which shows they picked up, and some might be surprising!
One hit show, Ginny & Georgia, got a green light for not one, but TWO more seasons.

While we are happy for fans of that show…we were worried about the fate of one of our favorite Netflix shows, Virgin River, a show about a Los Angeles nurse practitioner, Mel, who moves to a small town in Northern California called Virgin River. The show follows the ups and downs of small town life, along with the relationships she forms – professionally, personally, and romantically.
Fans have been patiently waiting for Season 5 to premiere, seeing as it got the green light as Season 4 was just being released! But now we know exactly when to expect it.
When Will Season 5 of Virgin River Premiere?
Netflix just revealed that Season 5 will premiere around September 7, 2023! The show’s star Alexandra Breckenridge confirmed it is their target date!
Fans were expecting a summer release like Season 4, but we will have to wait just a little while longer.
