Team Reba contestant, Jordan Rainer, brought the heat with her first performance of The Voice live shows.

Season 24 of NBC’s The Voice is stacked with talented artists and performers. This Monday, Dec 4th, the Top 12 contestants took the stage for the first round of live performances. At this point in the show, the power has now shifted from the hands of the coaches to that of the fans. After each performance, the television audience has the opportunity to vote to save their favorite artists.

These increased stakes mean that contestants need to give their all each and every time they take the stage and Jordan Rainer, of Team Reba, does just that. The country rocker gave a fierce performance of Ronnie Milsap’s Grammy Award-winning song, “Stranger in My House,” complete with guitar riffs and flames. The song was originally written by Mike Reid and was released by Milsap in April 1983 as the first single from the album Keyed Up

Jordan Rainer received a standing ovation from all four coaches.

After the dramatic performance, all four coaches rose to their feet to applaud Jordan. Niall Horan and Reba McEntire had a chance to share their feedback for the aspiring singer.

Niall praised Jordan for having a “gravitational pull as a performer,” and added, “I just can’t help but be fixated on what you are doing.”

Reba was audibly emotional as she said, “Jordan, I’m so proud of you I can’t hardly see straight. Great job, great performance, you are a star.”

After the show, Jordan reflected on the performance and thanked her coach:

“Me and coach Reba put our heads together and brought my fans a song they wouldn’t see coming, and we brought the HEAT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Thanks Coach for all the help making this performance my favorite one yet.”

Jordan’s fate is now in the hands of the viewers – good luck Jordan!
