Just one month after The Voice announced the coaching lineup for its 26th season, the show surprised fans with the lineup for Season 27!

In a June 4 social media post, The Voice teased a new coaching panel for 2025. The post prompted fans to “guess a letter” to fill in the blanks on a puzzle. The blanks included spaces for one 4-letter team name, one 5-letter team name, and two 6-letter team names.

Fan guesses ranged from a return for Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan or Nick Jonas, to possible new coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Adele, or Jelly Roll. One fact fans garnered from the hints was that either Gwen Stefani or Reba McEntire would not keep their Season 26 seats into Season 27. And the iconic double-chair occupied by Dan + Shay for Season 25 would not be making a return.

In a follow-up social media post, The Voice put speculation to rest. They revealed that the coaching lineup for Season 27, airing in 2025, is….John Legend, OG coach Adam Levine, Michael Buble, and first-time coach, Kelsea Ballerini!

Fan reaction to the news was mixed as they were hopeful for the return of Reba McEntire. But many were thrilled to see Adam Levine returning six years after he departed the show.
