Robert Irwin once again proved why he’s a fan favorite with an electric Jazz number on Tuesday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars.
Week 6 of Dancing With the Stars’ 34th season brought delightfully “wicked” performances from the remaining 10 celebrities and their professional partners. The week’s theme shone a spotlight on the musical fantasy Wicked. The blockbuster hit’s director, Jon M. Chu, was a guest judge for the episode.
No contestants were eliminated during episode 5 after a jam-packed night of Dedication Week performances, bringing extra pressure to the dancers this week.

Australian wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin has arguably been the fan favorite since the season premiere. Week after week, his moves and charisma have drawn the audience in, making him the one to beat for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
During Tuesday’s show, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson danced a lively jazz routine to “Dancing Through Life.”

“Dancing Through Life” is one of the most impressive scenes in the Wicked movie. The creation of a tornado wheel for the library scene wowed viewers and had cast and crew on the edge of their seats during filming, according to Chu.
So the pressure was on Robert and Witney to translate film magic into dance. As in week’s prior, Irwin seemed oblivious to the pressure and pulled off a flawless routine and proved that he and Witney are worthy of their consistently high marks.
“That needs to be your theme song…that was so ambitious. You really took the challenge and you nailed it,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the pair.
Derek Hough agreed, telling Robert to swap out his hiking boots for Broadway shoes. “You were meant to be on stage. You’re a performer.”
“It really was a joyful, theatrical treat. You handled every situation brilliantly. Your energy, your determination, and your commitment to every performance are laudable,” Bruno Tonioli said.
Each of the four judges gave Robert and Witney a 9, scoring 36 total points for the night. Tonight’s scores will be combined with scores from last week and public votes to determine who will be eliminated.
