This year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the dress code, “The Garden of Time,” brought a whimsical vibe to the night, inspiring guests to interpret the theme creatively through their own outfits.

Among the attendees was Riley Keough, daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley, who made a memorable entrance in a custom made Chanel dress.

Her outfit included a floor-length dress with a black silk tulle top decorated with intricate sequin embroidery, resembling tweed against a gray fabric background and a sheer midriff area. The dress also featured camellias in blue, pink, and black hues, adding a splash of color. A belted black chiffon skirt completed the ensemble, a look that the Daisy Jones & The Six actress described as both “gothic” and “beautiful,” during an interview with Vanity Fair.

Keough also disclosed that the creation of her 2024 Met Gala gown demanded 1,174 hours of meticulous craftsmanship and approximately 200,000 embroidered elements.

“Every piece feels so special when you’ve seen sketches and watched things being made. The artistry is incredible,” she said.

This isn’t Keough first appearance on the Met Gala carpet. She’s been a regular attendee at the prestigious event, dating all the way back to 2010 when she made her debut.

“I definitely am more relaxed at the Met Ball than I was when I was 20 years old,” she admitted. “I think that’s just in general, I’m not as nervous. It’s not as overwhelming…but I still treat every time like it’s the first because it’s a special event, even though I’ve been six or seven times.”
