“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond Is Going To Be A Grandma Again
Ree Drummond‘s oldest daughter, Alex, is pregnant again!
Alex shared the joyful news on Wednesday (March 4) that she and her husband, Mauricio Scott, are expecting their second child. They already share a daughter named Sofia, who celebrated her first birthday on December 18.
The Scotts are also “parents” to their adorable Golden Retriever, George.
George and Sofia both appeared in the pictures Alex and Mauricio posted to announce their pregnancy. The sweet family photos show them outside in front of some beautiful landscaping.
Sofia wore a pink checkered dress with “Big Sister” embroidered on the front. George looked dashing in a pastel-green bandana with “Big Brother” embroidered at the bottom. Alex joked that George was “still processing” the fact that he’ll soon have another younger sibling.
“Here we go again!! Another little blessing coming in September,” Alex shared in the caption of her post. “Thank you Lord for our growing family!”

Ree commented on her daughter’s post, writing, “Ree Ree is just so happy. Love you guys!! Wheee!!!“
Alex’s younger sister, Paige, also commented, saying, “YAYYYYY I’m so excited.” She added a second comment, writing, “Auntie upgrade.”
Ree Drummond Responds To Daughter Alex’s Pregnancy News
Ree Drummond’s excitement about her daughter’s pregnancy spilled over into a blog post she shared on her Pioneer Woman website. She gushed over the photos Alex and Mauricio took to announce their happy news.
Ree reflected on how becoming Sofia’s grandmother changed her entire world.
“I have blissfully swum around in the beautiful, sparkling sea of Sofia Scott and have delighted in every single moment I’ve gotten to spend with her,” she wrote. “She is an absolute wonder and I love her so very much. And now she’s officially going to be the eldest daughter.“
Ree said that Alex is due on September 21. That just so happens to be Ree and her husband Ladd’s 30th anniversary.
She teased “lots of fun things to come” before the baby arrives, including a gender reveal announcement. Ree said Alex and Mauricio likely won’t do anything too elaborate for that. Still, she can hardly wait to learn the news. “Life is about to get a little more fun,” Ree ended her blog.
