Priscilla Presley recently addressed rumors surrounding her relationship with former co-star Patrick Duffy.
Priscilla Comments On Romance Rumors
Priscilla Presley set the record straight about her feelings for Patrick Duffy, addressing recent rumors suggesting she’s romantically involved with her former ‘Dallas’ co-star.
Speaking at a Q&A event at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Presley referred to the recent speculations she had encountered in a magazine.
“Now there’s this whole big thing out there that I love Patrick Duffy, and I’m reading this in a magazine that someone showed me yesterday,” she stated during the event. Presley attributed the start of these rumors to a recent Dallas cast reunion at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center on March 1, where she was seen alongside Duffy and his partner, Linda Purl.
Presley’s career post her 1972 divorce from Elvis Presley saw her starring on ‘Dallas’ for six seasons, from 1983 to 1988, where Duffy and Presley starred as high school sweethearts Bobby Ewing and Jenna Wade. Despite the nostalgic reunion with her former co-stars, Presley maintained that her connection with Duffy is purely platonic.
“I’m going, ‘This is unbelievable, really, this is so crazy,’ ” she said, according to PEOPLE.
“I hadn’t seen him in a long time, and it was a great reunion,” she reflected about her interaction with Duffy. Presley emphasized Duffy’s happiness in his relationship with Purl, describing her as his partner who he is “in love with.”
Putting the rumors to rest, Priscilla stated, “Patrick told me how happy he was, and we talked to the audience and they had questions for us and that’s it.”
Patrick Duffy Talks About Working With Priscilla
Shortly before the former ‘Dallas’ cast reunited in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Patrick Duffy reflected on his initial reaction upon learning that he would be working with Priscilla. When news broke that she would be joining the cast, Duffy admitted he couldn’t believe he would be working alongside “Elvis’ Priscilla.”
“It was unbelievable,” he shared during an interview on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast in December 2023.
“It was another one of those gifts that you’re honored to receive in our business.”
