People’s Choice Country Awards Reveals The Crossover Song of 2023

The People’s Choice Country Awards have come and gone, and they’ve revealed the winner for The Crossover Song of 2023.

But what exactly are the People’s Choice Country Awards?

This inaugural event took place at the iconic Grand Ole Opry on Thursday, September 28. Setting it apart is the fact that it’s a fan-driven awards show, drawing inspiration from the People’s Choice Awards.

Taking center stage as hosts for the very first People’s Choice Country Awards is none other than the sensational Little Big Town.

In an exciting turn of events, not only are they helming the show, but they’re also in the running for The Group/Duo of 2023. Other awards that are given out are the People’s Artist, Male Artist, Female Artist, Group/Duo, Crossover Song, and so many more! The nominees for The Crossover Song of 2023 are as follows:

  • “Seasons” – Bebe Rexha, Dolly Parton (Songwriters: Bebe Rexha, Ido Zmishlany, Sarah Solovay)
  • “Texas” – Jessie Murph feat. Maren Morris (Songwriters: Alex Niceforo, Amy Allen, Jessie Murph, Warren “Oak” Felder)
  • “That’s Not How This Works” – Charlie Puth feat. Dan + Shay (Songwriters: Jordan Reynolds, Charlie Puth, Dan Smyers)
  • “UNHEALTHY” – Anne-Marie feat. Shania Twain (Anne-Marie Nicholson, CASTLE, Connor McDonough, Riley McDonough)

Fans waited with baited breath for the last several awards to be announced, but all of a sudden after Jelly Roll’s performance, the show’s credits started rolling! After the show, Circle All Access revealed the rest of the winners including The Crossover Song of 2023, which went to P!nk and Chris Stapleton for their song “Just Say I’m Sorry.”

Fan believed it made sense for the show to skip this award because neither artist was in attendance. No matter what, what an incredible honor! Congrats!
