Urban is known for performing a medley of songs in honor of artists who passed away last year, so we’re sure he will bring that tradition to this special.
The special will help countdown to New Year’s for the East Coast, but the party will continue to ring in the year for Central Time.
Past New Year’s Eve Live’s
New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash first aired in 2021 to ring in the 2022 new year. Rachel Smith and radio personality Bobby Bones hosted that year. The show was held at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, where headlining performances were performed by Dan + Shay, Dierks Bentley, and Lady A, among others.
Smith returned as host in 2022 alongside Jimmie Allen and Elle King. Performers that year included Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Kelsea Ballerini, Riley Green, and Brooks & Dunn.
The 2023 special saw Smith and King returning as hosts. Thomas Rhett, Elle King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Lainey Wilson were among some of the performers.
This year will surely be the most significant New Year’s party that Nashville has ever seen!
