Before taking the stage for her performance on Wednesday, March 20, the country superstar was honored with a ceremonial key to the Las Vegas Strip by Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick. Adding to the celebration, the day was officially declared Miranda Lambert Day in the city, as reported by PEOPLE.

But the generosity didn’t stop there. Lambert was pleasantly surprised with a remarkable $140,000 check presented to benefit her MuttNation charity. This substantial sum was raised from the proceeds of her shows at Planet Hollywood, with $1 from every ticket sold during her Velvet Rodeo residency donated to Lambert’s dog-friendly foundation.

About MuttNation

MuttNation, founded in 2009 by Miranda Lambert and her mother, Bev Lambert, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to several key objectives. First and foremost, it aims to boost the adoption rates of shelter pets, providing them with loving homes and second chances. Additionally, MuttNation works tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of spaying and neutering pets, advocating for responsible pet ownership practices.

In addition to its efforts in promoting adoption and responsible pet ownership, MuttNation also offers financial support and partners with transportation organizations to assist in relocating animals during natural disasters.
