It’s a side of Miley Cyrus you’ve never seen before – and one that has left the entire music industry talking…
During an incredible tribute concert to honor the late rock musician Chris Cornell, many of the world’s top singers, friends, and family came together in Los Angeles for a special one-night event filled with Cornell’s incredible music.

Titled I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell, the event featured headlining artists from all genres and proved to be one of the biggest nights in music this year. Held at the historic venue, The Forum, this concert was a benefit to raise money for the Chris & Vicky Cornell Foundation along with The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
Cornell took his own life in May 2017 after a long battle with depression. He was on the road with Soundgarden at the time and had just performed a concert an hour beforehand.

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, this one-night-only concert sold out within minutes and brought some of music’s biggest names to the same stage for a great cause.
The show featured performances from Adam Levine, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Ryan Adams, Taylor Momsen, Metallica, Miguel, Ziggy Marley, Miley Cyrus, and even Cornell’s 14-year-old daughter Toni Cornell. It was truly a night to remember – and one you could never forget.

A moment that dropped everyone’s jaw was when Miley Cyrus came out on stage to sing a cover of “Say Hello To Heaven” that was truly magical.
Even for Miley, the experience of performing on that stage was overwhelming in a deeply-emotional way. Something she described as “a heavenly experience.”
“Say Hello to Heaven… had a heavenly experience with you tonight, Chris,” Cyrus captioned a video of the performance. “We felt you and heard you… your words and spirit filled the room… there was an overwhelming feeling of so much love… we miss you deeply… tonight was an honor… #chriscornelltribute.”
Watching the clips of Miley during this powerful moment shows exactly how much it meant to her to be welcomed on that stage and given the opportunity to honor a legend like Cornell.
