Many country artists have performed for A Capitol Fourth in the past. Just a few of those artists include Scotty McCreery, Trace Adkins, and Alison Krauss.
On top of hosting A Capitol Fourth this year, Guyton was also a performer. She had the honor of opening the concert with a performance of the National Anthem.
The Capitol Fourth performance comes just a few months after Guyton sang the National Anthem before Super Bowl LVI.
Last year (in 2021) Guyton also performed the National Anthem for PBS’ National Memorial Day Concert. So it made sense why PBS wanted to welcome her back to sing the National Anthem for A Capitol Fourth this year,
Those who have heard Guyton sing the National Anthem before knew she would deliver a gorgeous performance for the Capitol Fourth concert. Her rendition was just as beautiful as expected.
If you weren’t able to watch A Capitol Fourth when it aired on the 4th of July, check out the video of Guyton’s performance below. We hope you enjoy her version of the National Anthem.
