Martina McBride made a name for herself in the country music world in the 1990s and early 2000s, but to three young girls, she was known as “Mom.”
Martina and John McBride were married in 1988 and six years later, they welcomed their first child on December 22. Delaney Katherine was then joined by a sister named Emma Justine on March 29, 1998. The McBride clan was complete when Ava Rose Kathleen joined them on June 20, 2005.
Before Ava was born, Delaney and Emma starred in their mom’s music video for her song “Blessed.”
To spend more time with her young daughters, Martina made the decision to cut way back on her touring schedule to give them more of a “normal upbringing.”
Many people said Martina would be giving up a ton of money, but she didn’t care. She wanted to be home with her children. From the looks of it, her choice paid off. Her daughters seem like grounded, lovely, and kindhearted women.

In a post on social media, Martina celebrated her eldest daughter Delaney’s birthday!
Alongside four photos of her, Martina wrote, “Last week my girl turned 29! Happy Birthday Delaney. You are an inspiration and a gem of a human and we all love you so much! PS I chose these last 2 pics because YOU ARE ADORABLE! I love you.”
The first photo was of Martina and Delaney standing in front of a green wall with the writing, “I love you so much.”
The second photo was a cute selfie of the mother-daughter duo. And the last two were solo photos of Delaney.
It’s clear Martina is so proud of her daughter, who according to her business’ Instagram page, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Sound Practitioner, and a cooking enthusiast.
