Lainey Wilson Donates to the Toby Keith Foundation Through Her ‘Heart Like a Truck’ Fund

Wilson’s donation will go towards the support of pediatric cancer patients.

Lainey Wilson began her Heart Like A Truck fund last year to raise money for various causes.

According to Wilson’s official website, the fund “offers vital resources and support to an array of causes, each with a unique story and a shared purpose of creating a brighter, more promising future for individuals and communities in need.”

To kick off the holiday season, Wilson announced the launch of her Heart Like A Truck Fund Week of Giving. During the first week of December, she donated to a different organization each day through her charity.

One of Wilson’s acts of generosity during that time was donating to the late Toby Keith’s foundation.

About the Toby Keith Foundation

Keith established the foundation in 2006 to support those battling cancer. In 2014, he expanded its mission by opening the OK Kids Korral, which provides free housing for children and their families while they undergo treatment.

In February of this year, Toby Keith passed away at the age of 62 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer.

Since the loss of the country icon, many fellow artists have found ways to honor him and celebrate the legacy he left behind as a performer on stage and through his charitable work off the stage.

For Wilson, Keith was a source of inspiration in both areas, making her decision to donate to his foundation especially meaningful.

This isn’t the first time Wilson has stepped up to honor Keith’s impact. She has delivered multiple tribute performances in his memory, including at the Toby Keith: American Icon charity benefit concert.

She also joined the lineup for a special tribute to Keith at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, where she sang his hit song “How Do You Like Me Now?!”
