During an interview with Bunnie XO, Jelly Roll’s wife, Wilson joked around about the future of her relationship with Duck.
Bunnie XO had a giant fishbowl full of cards where country singers performing at Nashville’s Big Bash for New Year’s Eve could pick one and answer it. Wilson’s card said, “Finish the sentence: New year, new _______.”
She immediately said, “New year, new problems!”
Bunnie agreed and then asked the singer to manifest something for 2025. Wilson said, “I want to spend more time with you and Jelly. Me and Duck miss y’all!”
The podcast host responded, “I am manifesting for you and Duck to get married! I’m putting it in the air!”
Wilson joked, “No pressure! I might have to propose to him. We waiting!”
“No! Duck’s gonna do it, I can feel it,” Bunnie told her friend. Only time will tell! Watch the clip below.
This isn’t the first time Wilson has said that she will have to propose to her boyfriend.
In August 2024, the “Hang Tight Honey” singer was chatting with Taste Of Country about her song “Counting Chickens.” The song, which is about settling down in a cozy home with chickens, a nice view, and her true love, was included on her 2024 album Whirlwind.
She opens the song by singing that she knows he hasn’t picked out a ring or asked her daddy for her hand in marriage, but if he wanted to go the Vegas to get married, she would go.
In the Taste of Country interview, they asked if she was secretly engaged, to which she replied, “Oh no. No, we’re not secretly engaged, but I guess I’m gonna have to propose to his a** ’cause he ain’t proposed to me!”
The singer continued, “I think it needs to be during a season of our life where we really have the time to enjoy it. Right now it would be like, ‘Oh shoot, I’m engaged. Okay, onto the next thing.'”
We’re sure the time will come for Duck and Lainey to get engaged, and it will be on their own timeline.
