Phil And Kay Robertson Of Duck Dynasty Fame Have Been In Poor Health
Amid a tough time caring for her in-laws, Phil and Kay, Duck Dynasty star Korie Robertson shared an uplifting message with her followers.
Unfortunately, both Phil and Kay Robertson have experienced their fair share of health issues within recent months. Phil was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and several physical ailments, including a blood disorder. He’s also undergone multiple back surgeries.
Miss Kay suffered a serious fall a few months ago, resulting in a “horrific” leg injury. Her and Phil’s son, Jase, said things looked “pretty grim“ for her after the fall.
She developed an infection and remained hospitalized for 11 days. During that time, her family started to prepare for the worst. Thankfully, she bounced back and is “doing much better.”

Due to her hospitalization and follow-up stay in a rehab facility, Kay and Phil were separated for a short time. They’ve since reunited, and Jase says having them back together again “has been fantastic.” Jase said that Phil has “been much calmer” since reuniting with Kay.
Korie Robertson Speaks About Finding Joy In “The Simple Things” Amid “Tough Time” For Her Family
Korie Robertson, who’s married to Phil and Kay’s son, Willie, recently posted on Instagram about this being a “tough time” for their family. Despite that, she’s trying her best to find little sparks of happiness in everyday moments.
She shared some of those happy moments in a video montage. Her caption read:
“Recently, life has looked like soaking in the gorgeous Louisiana spring weather, introducing friends to crawfish, filming for @duckdynastyae, and of course, lots of time with the fam.”
It’s a bittersweet time for the Robertson family. On one hand, they’re worried about Phil and Kay’s well-being. On the other hand, they’re excitedly preparing for the debut of their new show, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which premieres on A&E on May 28.
As she experiences the highs and lows of this current season of life, Korie shared this “reminder” with her followers:
“As we go through a tough time with Phil and Kay’s health it’s been such a reminder to find the joy in the simple things of life. In the end those are the things that last.”
