Duck Dynasty Star Kay Robertson Has Been Struggling With Her Health
As Duck Dynasty fans remained concerned about Miss Kay’s well-being, her daughter-in-law, Korie, has a hopeful update.
Miss Kay and her husband, Phil Robertson, both struggled with their health in the past year. Phil had been diagnosed with a blood disorder and Alzheimer’s disease, and also had to undergo multiple back surgeries.

Kay suffered a fall that resulted in a “horrific” leg injury and infection. Phil and Kay’s son, Jase, spoke about the severity of her injury, saying, “I thought it was life-threatening because it just looked so terrible on her leg.”
Thankfully, Miss Kay recovered, but still hasn’t been in the best health. Willie, the second youngest of Phil and Kay’s sons, told Us Weekly in mid-May that Kay “has shown the same type of symptoms of Alzheimer’s or dementia [as Phil].”
Then, Phil passed away on May 25. Willie spoke to USA Today about the effect his dad’s death had on his mom’s health, saying, “Some of it is she is just depressed. She lost her partner of 60 years.”
Korie Robertson Shares Some Good News About Miss Kay
Fortunately, multiple members of the Robertson family have recently shared some more uplifting updates on Miss Kay. She is currently staying with Phil’s nephew, Jay Stone, and his wife, Anna.
Speaking on the May 27 episode of the Duck Call Room podcast, Jay said:
“…[Kay is] doing good. She’s surrounded by her family. There’s people in and out. She’s doing good. She’s eating good.”
On Sunday (June 7), Kay’s daughter-in-law, Lisa, posted a new picture of Kay and shared that she was able to attend church that day.

More good news came from Willie’s wife, Korie, on June 9. She shared several photos from Phil’s funeral service on May 29, including one of Miss Kay. The picture shows her in a wheelchair, looking up and smiling at the loved ones surrounding her.
Korrie reassured Duck Dynasty fans that Kay is “doing better physically.” However, following Phil’s death, the past few weeks have been understandably difficult for her.
“We’ve seen so many of y’all asking about how Miss Kay is doing,” Korie wrote. “It’s so hard to lose her love and companion since she was 14 years old! Physically, she’s doing better and she is walking through this with grace, assurance, and leaning on her faith and family. We love her so much!”
Korie ended her post by asking everyone to keep praying for Miss Kay. She said, “...we feel them, and they mean more than you know.”
