Kelsea Ballerini & Chase Stokes Look Red-Hot On The Red Carpet At The VMAs
Country star Kelsea Ballerini had the opportunity to perform at the VMAs for the first time on Tuesday (September 12). The night was extra special, because it also happened to be her 30th birthday!
“about to perform on the freaking @vmas on my freaking 30th birthday pinch me and tune in,” Ballerini wrote on social media before she went onstage.

Ballerini attended the event with her boyfriend, actor Chase Stokes. The “Penthouse” singer and Outer Banks star started dating in December 2022.
They made their red carpet debut at the CMT Music Awards in April. Ballerini co-hosted the event with Kane Brown.

Kelsea & Chase Rock Coordinating Red Outfits At The VMAs
Now several months into their relationship, Ballerini and Stokes packed on the PDA while posing for photos on the red carpet at the VMAs. At multiple points, Stokes leaned over to give Ballerini a quick kiss.
CMT shared a video of the pair on the red carpet, and captioned it, “It’s date night at the #VMAs.”

The couple rocked matching red ensembles. Ballerini donned a gorgeous red gown with a cutout on the front, as well as a dipped back. She accented the look with a bunch of gold bracelets she wore on each arm.
Stokes wore a coordinating red jacket, which he layered over a black shirt he left partially unbuttoned. He finished off the look with a pair of white pants and a long black belt.

As mentioned previously, this was Ballerini’s first time performing at the VMAs. She took to the stage later in the night to deliver a powerful performance of “Penthouse.”
“Penthouse” is one of six songs featured on Ballerini’s Rolling Up the Welcome Mat EP. The record was recently nominated for a CMA Award for Album of the Year.
