Kai Trump To Make Her LPGA Debut Ahead Of Starting College
President Donald Trump is known for his golf prowess, and that is something he has passed down to his children and grandchildren.
On Tuesday, October 28, Kai Trump, 18, who is the eldest grandchild to President Trump and the daughter of Donald Trump Jr., announced she will be making her debut in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
Taking place from November 10 through November 16 at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, Kai will be competing as a sponsor invitation in The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican.
Kai, who is presently a high school senior in Palm Beach, Florida, has committed to enrolling in University of Miami in the fall of 2026, where she will become part of the University of Miami NCAA Division I women’s golf team.
“It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level, and I’d like to thank the Pelican Golf Club for the invitation,” said Kai in a video statement on X, formerly Twitter. “I’m looking forward to teeing up and competing with the best players in the world at one of the most premiere venues on tour.”

Watch Kai Golf With Her Grandfather, President Trump
Kai rose to prominence in 2024, following her comments at the Republican National Convention one week after Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Since then, she has posted several videos to her YouTube page, occasionally giving an inside look at life around the 47th president.
On October 11, she shared a video of a round of golf with her grandfather, President Trump.
“This is my favorite video I have filmed so far and holds a lot of meaning to me,” Kai wrote in the video caption. “In the video, everyone gets to see the bond we have, especially on the golf course.”
The video, which is just over an hour long, was edited by Kai, and begins with President Trump addressing viewers of the video, saying, “Hello, everybody. We’re gonna have a little fun today. We have Kai, who’s done terrifically at golf.”
Notably, the flags at Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. are at half staff, suggesting the game between Kai and her grandfather occurred in the days following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of the conservative organization Turning Point USA.
Between holes on the green, Kai takes a moment to interview her grandfather, with one question being, “What is your favorite sport to watch besides golf?”
President Trump replied, “I love watching all sports. I love football, when it’s good. Any sport that is meaningful.”
