Julianne Hough Shares Holiday Cheer In Lively Cover Of “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”

Did You Know Julianne Hough Released Two Country Albums, Including A Holiday EP?

Most people know Julianne Hough for her work on Dancing with the Stars. She started off as a professional dancer, and won the Mirrorball Trophy twice.

Hough left the show for a time, but later returned as a judge. She served in that role from 2014-2017. Hough came back to DWTS in 2023 to serve as the show’s new co-host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro.

On top of that, Hough is also an actress. She’s known for her roles in movies such as 2011’s Footloose and 2013’s Safe Haven. She also played Sandy in the Emmy-winning 2016 musical TV program, Grease Live!

Not to mention, Hough is also an award-winning country music artist. She released her debut, self-titled country album in 2008. It premiered at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

The album included the songs “That Song in My Head,” “My Hallelujah Song,” and a duet with her brother Derek Hough called “Dreaming Under the Same Moon.”

Hough later won the Top New Female Vocalist and Top New Artist awards during the 2009 ACM Awards.

Hear Hough Put Her Spin On Brenda Lee’s Classic Hit, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”

Just months after releasing her debut album, Hough dropped a Christmas EP. The album is titled Sounds of the Season: The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection.

Sounds of the Season contains eight tracks, including a collaboration with Phil Vassar. They recorded a medley featuring “It Wasn’t His Child” and “Mary, Did You Know?”

Hough also offered up her rendition of Brenda Lee‘s classic holiday hit, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”


Much like Lee’s original recording, Hough’s rendition of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” is fun and lively. It’s the perfect track to enjoy during the holiday season.
