Joanna Gaines’ Son Duke Goes To Prom
The 17-year-old went to prom wearing his mom’s beautiful homegrown flowers as part of his look.
Joanna typically keeps her kids out of the spotlight, which is why it’s very rare for her to share clips of them on her heavily followed social media pages.
The only time she does is for special life moments, and the most recent one she wanted to capture was her son Duke heading to prom.
The Fixer Upper star shared a video featuring clips leading up to her son heading out to the school dance. She also revealed she spent the day making bouquets and boutonnières for him and his friends.
She’s quite proud of her garden. Joanna has shared photos of the gorgeous delphinium and poppy flowers she grows on her Instagram before.

The video begins with Joanna walking toward the camera while holding an arrangement of flowers freshly picked from her garden. As the camera pans across the room, viewers can see she’s been busy, because cut flowers, petals, and stems are scattered everywhere.
The focus then shifts to Duke getting ready. He gets help straightening the collar of his suit jacket before heading out onto his family’s property with a group of friends and their dates.
Joanna also captured close-up shots of the bouquets she put together for the girls. The multiple clusters of flowers are vibrant pinks and oranges, with touches of blue and white. She captioned the post:
“✨P R O M 2 0 2 6✨ Nothing like hanging in the garden all day for prom prep with some sweet mamas. When the kids showed up they were gracious to let us take a million pics of them 🤗🤩🥰”
Fans Can’t Believe How Grown Up Duke Is
Fans were left impressed by the beautiful touches Joanna added to the kids’ big day, with many leaving comments praising the floral arrangements.
“What a dreamy setting & those flowers are lovely! Prom is such a sweet memory,” one person wrote.
“This is so precious and well done on those beautiful bouquets!!!” exclaimed another.

Other longtime followers of Joanna couldn’t believe how fast Duke has grown up.

Joanna and her husband Chip share four other children in addition to Duke. There’s Crew (7), Emmie (16), Ella (19), and Drake (21).
Another sweet family moment Joanna shared recently came back in March when she was able to get everyone together for a scenic spring break vacation.
The Gaines family stayed in a lavish house in the mountains. They spent time together as a family playing card games, skiing, bowling, fishing, and sitting around a campfire.
