The brightest stars in music came together tonight (Feb 18) to celebrate the 2024 People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California.

The People’s Choice Awards recognize achievements across music, television, and film. This unique awards show puts the power in the hands of the people and allows them to vote and select the winners for each award.

Eight impressive artists went head to head for the title of “The Male Country Artist”

The “Male Country Artist” category was absolutely stacked with heavy hitters. Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan all were nominated and had a chance to take home the award.

The People’s Choice Award for The Male Country Artist goes to…

JELLY ROLL!  While each of the artists nominated are superstars in their own right, JELLY ROLL had an absolutely massive year in 2023 and rose above the rest.

Jelly Roll wasn’t in attendance to accept his award for The Male Country Artist

It’s unclear why Jelly Roll wasn’t on-hand to accept his award, but the singer said earlier this month that he was going to be prioritizing his family this year.

“I gotta get back to my family a little bit, man. One of the costs of having a stellar year was sacrificing a little bit of personal time with the family, and I’m just spread so thin. I want to make sure that I can get back to getting in the bunker with them,” he told Audacy’s Katie & Company’s Power Hour.

Jelly’s wife, Bunnie XO, also revealed this week that her dad, who is currently in hospice care as he fights Stage 4 cancer, just underwent hip replacement surgery.

Congratulations, Jelly Roll!
