Phil Robertson Fights Multiple Health Issues

In December 2024, members of the Robertson family shared that their patriarch, Phil Robertson, had been diagnosed with a blood disease as well as early-stage Alzheimers. Shortly after, Phil’s son Willie provided additional detail, revealing that the 78-year-old had also fractured his back and had experienced “mini-strokes.”

Phil was reportedly “really struggling” and was experiencing a significant amount of pain, which was affecting his day-to-day life. In addition to prioritizing a solution to the back pain, Willie shared:

“It’s hard with the mental stuff. It’s hard to determine exactly what these causes are, especially with early signs, it’s hard to determine brain damage from stroke or is that Alzheimer’s?”

Jase Robertson Shares New Details On Phil Robertson’s Condition

On the most recent episode of the Unashamed podcast, Jase Robertson gave listeners an update on his dad’s health. Jase, who had been battling the flu, reflects on how “getting better is something we take for granted.” He adds:

“That’s been sad about my dad… He has these conditions that… They do not seem like he’s getting better.”

Jase reveals that the family recently received bad news. Phil has discovered multiple additional fractured vertebrae in addition to the six that had previously been known. Jase says that his dad has “short stints” where he is feeling good, followed by times when he does not seem well at all.

He asks listeners to continue praying for Phil as they are “trying to make him comfortable.” Ultimately, Jase concludes that his dad has “more better days than bad days.”

Phil Robertson Will Not Appear On Duck Dynatsy Reboot Amid Health Battles

In January, Duck Dynasty fans were thrilled to learn that the Robertson Family would be returning to their television screens. Duck Dynasty: The Revival has been confirmed for two seasons, the first of which will premiere this summer.

The unscripted series will follow Willie, Korie, and their adult children as they “grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children, and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.” According to a press release from A&E, Miss Kay and Uncle Si will also make appearances.

However, the show will not feature every beloved family member. The network’s announcement did not mention Phil Robertson in the new spinoff. Sadie Robertson confirmed that her grandfather will not appear in the upcoming series due to his various and ongoing health concerns.
