Luke Grimes Talks Final Season Of Hit Series Yellowstone

During an interview with CBS Mornings, Luke Grimes described the long-awaited final episodes of Yellowstone as “epic.” In fairness, the whole show has been epic, so fans expect nothing less from the season, which will resume this Sunday, November 10th.

Grimes plays Kayce Dutton on the hit series and is the youngest child of patriarch John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. Throughout the series, Grimes’ character wrestles with where he belongs, given that his wife is a Native American and there are tensions between the Dutton family and the Native reservation.

Grimes addressed this during his interview with CBS Mornings.

“This whole arc over the five seasons has put him between a rock and a hard place. He doesn’t know where he belongs or what the right choice is, but he finally has to choose a path. This season, we see a very decisive Kasey.”

If you are a fan of the show, then you know this is a very different side of the beloved character.

When discussing the series, Grimes said: “Don’t look away, buckle up. It’s really fast, it’s only six episodes, and a lot happens. It starts high and ends higher.”

According to Grimes, the six episodes will “wrap everything up in a way that satisfies you and makes you feel like you didn’t waste your time.”

Luke Grimes Said Fans Will Be “Bummed” With Kevin Costner’s Fate

“How do you think the audience will react to John Dutton’s fate?”

The reporter asked Luke Grimes, and he responded:

“Like the rest of us, they’re going to be bummed. That’s a big presence—that’s Kevin Costner, he’s an icon. He’s John Dutton, the rock, the patriarch of the family. It’s hard to imagine the show without him, but that was always where the story was headed.”

He continued with:

“It was about whether these kids could do it without him. We all knew it was coming; we just didn’t know how or when.”

He continues on to say that the show ramps up to a “10.” How the show could get more intense is hard to fathom, but in two days, we will find out.
