Hogan, his wife Sky Daily, and his friend Jake Rask left dinner in Tampa, Florida, and headed down the Veterans Expressway. Sources told TMZ  “a car erratically swerved across the lanes to catch an exit it was about to miss — and in the process … clipped another car.”

TMZ‘s sources say the struck car flipped over following the accident. FOX 13 confirms the driver was a 17-year-old girl.

Hogan and Rask jumped into action to help the teen. Daily praised their actions in a post on her Facebook page. She said:

Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa, we saw a car flip in front of us! I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girls airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car. By all appearances, she was unscathed, just really rattled, which is an absolute miracle!

They Used A Ballpoint Pen To Free The Trapped Teen From Her Car

Rask confirmed that the girl is doing alright after the crash. He told FOX 13, “We are just glad she’s OK, and God put us there at the right time.”

Hogan spoke about the accident on X (formerly Twitter). He shared “the crazy part” of the story, which is how they freed the teenager from her car.

He explained how the airbag had trapped the teen inside. Hogan didn’t have a knife on him to pierce the airbag, so he had to think fast and find a different tool. He ended up using a ballpoint pen.

Hogan said, “The crazy part about the teenager that flipped her car was that without a knife to puncture the airbags to get her out, a[n] Indian Rocks Christian [School] ballpoint pen came in really handy to [pop] the bags, thank you God, all is well, even now, Amen HH.

TMZ published photos of Hogan, Daily, and Rask at the scene of the accident.

Tampa police told FOX 13 the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Watch the outlet’s news report about the situation below.
