George Strait is working on new music!

Word on the web is that George Strait is in the studio cooking up some brand-new music, according to a photo posted to Facebook by legendary country music producer Tony Brown.

Brown shared a photo showing 13 people standing together with George Strait in the middle holding two thumbs up with none other than Chris Stapleton standing behind him.

Brown captioned the photo, “New Music from GEORGE STRAIT.” 

Some things to know about Castle Recording Studios – where George is working on his new music.

Castle Recording Studios is an incredibly beautiful music studio located just 15 minutes from downtown Franklin, Tennessee. It’s true to its name and actually built to look just like a castle. The facility has two studios called Studio A and Studio B.

According to the Castle Recording Studios website, Studio A is, “Centered around a 64 channel SSL 4000G+, Studio A includes the main cutting floor, our famous “stone room”, a fully equipped keys room, as well as a full kitchen and lounge. Additional amp isolation is available in the basement. Bookable in conjunction with Studio B for additional isolation options.”

Studio B is, “Perfect for mixing or overdubs, Studio B consists of a spacious iso booth, a dedicated lounge, bathroom, and kitchenette, along with an incredible sounding control room. Featuring an Otari Series 54 console, Studio B also includes full access to our mic locker and a great selection of outboard gear.”

What else has been going on with George Strait lately?

So far in 2023, George Strait has been ranked 156 on the list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time, according to Rolling Stone. In addition to that, Strait’s been setting venue attendance records this summer and announced that in 2024 he plans to perform at nine locations with eight-time Grammy-winning Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.

The locations include Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Ames, Charlotte, East Rutherford, Salt Lake City, Detroit, and Chicago. Strait also plans to do his last performance and 37th installment of his Strait to Vegas show in December at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

According to his website, tickets to most of the shows will go on sale this Friday, September 22nd at 10 a.m. Central Standard Time. However, tickets to the Jacksonville show won’t go on sale until October 20th at 10 a.m. American Express Card Members will get an upper hand and be able to purchase tickets before the general public on Friday, September 15th at 10 a.m. through Thursday, September 21st.

George Strait said on his website, “I’ve always said we have the best fans in the world, and to see so many of them show up for these shows just makes us want to keep bringing them more. I’ve also missed performing in Las Vegas during NFR, so I’m happy to see that show come together in 2024. See you soon!”
