Garth Brooks’s downtown Nashville bar will officially open on March 7th

After much anticipation, country music icon Garth Brooks announced that his Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk will have an official grand opening on March 7th. The bar and live music venue, which is situated along downtown Nashville’s famous Broadway strip, will encompass 54,715 square feet across four floors and include a rooftop deck.

On the same day that the new honky tonk it set to open (March 7), a docuseries titled Friends In Low Places: Building the Oasis will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. In the series, Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood take viewers along as they “set out to build the ultimate oasis, a honky-tonk in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.”

According to a press release, the docuseries will feature brothers Benjamin and Max Goldberg, who will oversee “all aspects of the hospitality” at the bar, with the help of leading ladies of Strategic Hospitality, Jenny Deathridge Bratt and Camille Tambunting.

The description for the show states:

“Paying tribute to his roots, Garth enlists the help of his friends, day-one tour team and an all-star hospitality group to open the epic, four-story bar on Lower Broadway. This is a labor of love and his thank you to the community of Music City.”

Garth Brooks calls opening the bar the “craziest ride” he has ever been on.

In the same press release, Brooks reflected on the experience of developing his latest project:

“This was so much more than I bargained for! With that said, what we have built is far more than just a business. This is by far, the craziest ride I have ever been on.”

Yearwood added:

“We started down this road fueled by passion, dedication, and a shared vision. I’m really proud of the team that has built the Friends Bar and Honky-Tonk. We are excited to share the culmination of everyone’s efforts. It’s even bigger than we dreamed!”
