Farmer Wants A Wife Star Confirms His Past Relationship With Ella Langley
It turns out, the rumors were true.
Farmer Wants a Wife star John Sansone has finally confirmed what many fans had been speculating for months: he and Ella Langley once dated.
Late last year, the pair seemed to hint at a possible romance after John shared a photo on his Instagram featuring Ella’s dog, Crue.
Shortly after, Ella added fuel to the speculation by posting a carousel that included a clip of them shooting shotguns together.
Ella and John’s rumored relationship came not long after his time on Season 3 of Farmer Wants a Wife, where he chose contestant Claire Dirette.
John and Claire were together at the end of the season, but in August 2025, they announced they had gone their separate ways. In a now-deleted Instagram post, John confirmed that their split was a “mutual decision based on private challenges.”
John Sansone Dishes On His Past Relationship With Ella Langley
On April 16, John addressed the rumors about him and Ella for the first time during an interview with Taste of Country.
When asked if he was a fan of Ella’s music, John encouraged the interviewer not to beat around the bush and to ask the question he knew everyone really wanted answered.
“Why don’t you just ask it Adison? Go ahead and ask,” John said to radio host Adison Haager.
The interviewer then asked about the nature of their relationship and whether it was purely friendly or not.
“We dated for a couple of months,” John revealed.
He clarified that they are no longer together, though he didn’t go into detail about why the short-lived romance ended.
John went on to admit that he was the first to make a move, saying he initially caught Ella’s eye by sliding into her DMs.
When asked what his first message to her was, John said he doesn’t remember, but he knows it was “something creative” to catch her attention.
It wouldn’t just be ‘Hi.’ I don’t know,” he adds.
As for Ella, she hasn’t publicly spoken about her past fling with the farmer-turned-reality star. She tends to keep her relationships private, even when rumors start to spread.
She’s dealt with similar speculations before, including ongoing talk about her and fellow country star Riley Green.
After the two released their hit duet “You Look Like You Love Me” in 2024, fans began shipping them and even assumed they were once involved.
The speculation has also led to conversations of a possible love triangle involving Riley, Ella, and singer Megan Moroney, but none of this has been confirmed.
