Recently, he took his patriotism to new heights—literally!

Now, his home in Louisiana now boasts a roof that’s a vibrant tribute to Old Glory, thanks to the skilled team at Northeast Louisiana Roofing (NELA Roofing). As an Army veteran, Si couldn’t have wished for a better tribute.

The creative minds at NELA Roofing, led by Jeremy Antley, started this project as the first step in a larger mission. Their goal? To give back to veterans by upgrading their homes, one roof at a time. What began as a simple idea evolved into a full-fledged program in partnership with Owens Corning, focusing on providing veterans with the roofs they deserve.

“It all kind of started with us looking to try to do a veterans program through Owens Corning,” Antley told Knoe News 8. “But we ended up partnering with Owens Corning and we kind of made our own veterans program…If you are a lower-income veteran and you need a roof, we do have financing options available, and we can definitely get you a red, white, and blue roof too.”

During a new episode of the Duck Call Room podcast, Uncle Si confirmed that his American flag roof is, indeed, real.

“You got to admit, it really looks good,” Si shared. “That’s my house now, okay? It’s got red, white, and blue shingles on it.”

Si then told listeners that they completed the whole roof in 8 hours.

Specifically, he noted, “4:00 a.m. to 12:00, they were done.”

Jase Robertson shared pictures of Si’s roof on Instagram with fans, saying he “had to go see it for [himself].”

“There’s no mistaking Si’s priorities in his senior years: He loves Jesus, and he loves America. And he’s definitely unashamed,” Jace wrote.
