Dolly Parton Releases New Version Of “Stay Out Of My Bedroom”— Without Sylvester Stallone

Legendary country icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Dolly Parton, marked her 78th birthday today with a special gift to her fans.

She released a deluxe version of her debut rock album, Rockstar, introducing nine unreleased tracks. One of the highlights of this deluxe release is the inclusion of the iconic 1984 track “Stay Out of My Bedroom.” Known for its appearance on the Rhinestone soundtrack, the soundtrack album associated with the 1984 film of the same name featuring Sylvester Stallone, has been revisited in a new version that captures the essence of the timeless classic with a modern twist.

“Stay out of My Bedroom” is a song that gained attention as part of the soundtrack for the 1984 film “Rhinestone.” The film, which stars Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone, revolves around Parton’s character taking on the challenge of turning Stallone’s character into a country music star.

Dolly Announces Deluxe Version of Rockstar

Celebrating her 78th birthday, Dolly Parton pleasantly surprised her fans by announcing a deluxe version of her latest album, Rockstar, through a heartfelt social media post. She revealed that the extended release would feature not only exclusive unreleased tracks but also have familiar songs that weren’t originally on the album.

Bonus tracks on this edition include her renditions of Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise,” a reimagined version of “Jolene” with Italian rock band Måneskin, as well as covers of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Billy Joel’s “The Entertainer,” and the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).” While the original 35-song set is filled with guest stars, the new songs do not feature any collaborators, and the track “Stay Out of My Bedroom” from the 1984 film “Rhinestone” no longer includes duet partner Sylvester Stallone.
