Season 34 was the show’s most-watched in many years and the viewership continued to grow as the season continued thanks to theme nights like “TikTok Night,” “Wicked Night,” and “Prince Night.”
The contestants chosen to compete in Season 34 were also some of the most followed on social media that the show has seen in a while. Contestants included TikTok star Alix Earle, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck, Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying, Olympian Jordan Chiles, 90s TV star Danielle Fishel, and more.

The Show Announces First Cast Members Of Season 35
At Hulu’s Get Real event on Wednesday (April 22), the brand announced several new shows and confirmed the return of other reality TV shows. One of the new shows includes a spin-off show called Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro.
After the announcement of The Next Pro, which will be hosted by Robert Irwin and will feature judges Mark and Shirley Ballas (Mark’s mom!), the network revealed the first two contestants of Season 35!
The first person announced as a contestant was….Maura Higgins!
Higgins is known for her appearance on Love Island as well as being runner-up on the most recent season of the Emmy Award-winning reality competition series The Traitors.
The second person announced was Ciara Miller, another reality TV personality.
Miller stars on the Bravo show reality show Summer House and also competed on The Traitors alongside DWTS Season 34 contestant Dylan Efron.
While Miller didn’t attend the event, Higgins did! She made her grand entrance alongside Irwin after hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro received a text that read, “A brand-new bombshell is entering the ballroom,” which is a play on a phrase commonly used in Love Island.
Although Miller did not attend, she did make her own announcement video on social media.
More contestant announcements will likely be made closer to the season, which will kick on in September. Will you watch Season 35?
