Florida Georgia Line is taking a “break.”

Hubbard and Kelley got together for their final show in September 2022 where they announced that they were going on a break so that they could pursue and further their careers as solo artists.

“I think ‘taking a break’ is the proper term, as opposed to breaking up.” Hubbard told PEOPLE at the time. “We’re sort of using these last 12 shows as a time to celebrate FGL, celebrate the fans, celebrate each other, and then support each other on the next chapter of our musical and creative journey, which is gonna be individually for a while. So we’re excited.”

Kelley later told PEOPLE that they’re not going their separate ways for good, they’re just taking a break from recording music together for now, giving hope that they could get back together one day.

“We’re being artists. We love creating. And so a couple years back, we started writing without each other and trying different writers, and now we’re both doing that with our music,” Kelley said.
