Blake Shelton’s Most Recent Podcast Interview Was Hilarious

Blake Shelton recently appeared on the Bobby Bones Show, and the interview was wild. Shelton talked about how attractive Riley Green is, his favorite childhood snack, his distaste for bare feet, participating in pageants as a kid, and stopping a drunk intruder.

Blake Shelton Stopped A Drunk Intruder?

Shelton shared a funny story about stopping a drunk intruder at his uncle’s house. The story could have been scary or gruesome, but thankfully, it is more humorous than horrific.

The Bobby Bones Show is a nationally syndicated country radio show hosted by Bobby Bones, Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie. On this show, they asked the singer a few “fun facts” about his life to see if they were true or not.

One of the facts that the radio show host asked was: “Next fun fact that we don’t know if it’s true or not. Uh, you once caught an intruder at your uncle’s house and detained the drunken man yourself until the police arrived?”

Shelton responded:

“My uncle who was … special needs, he called and said, ‘Hey, you know, there’s this guy in my house and he’s just like sitting on the couch saying, you know, he lives here.’ And so my initial thought was, you know, what’s going on over there? And I went and knocked on my uncle’s [Door].”

When the singer arrived at the house, he realized that the intruder mistakenly believed he lived there. Shelton continued the story:

“I can’t even believe I’m telling this. I hadn’t thought about this in 15 years or more. And the guy answered the door as if it was his house. Like, ‘Yeah, can I help you?’ And it’s like, ‘Yeah, get the hell out of this house. You know, what are you doing? You know?’ And he’s like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

The singer explained that he kept the man entertained while waiting for the police to arrive. The talk show host jokingly asked if he thought the man had sobered up and realized he had just met Blake Shelton. The singer replied playfully: “No, I don’t. I think even sober, he wouldn’t have known who I was.”

Blake Shelton Talks New Music

During the interview, the singer shared some silly moments, including his experience with beauty pageants, which his mother used to showcase her son’s incredible voice to the world.

He also joked about Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, playfully calling them “ugly” in a friendly comment about who should be included on the country version of the “Sexiest Man Alive” list.

However, the interview was not all silly; it took a sweet turn when Shelton began to speak about his return to making music after a short two-year hiatus. He just released “Texas,” his first song in two years, and he owes it all to Post Malone. Malone just made a jump to country music with his F1-Trillion album, which featured some of country music’s best.

Selton said:

“I really do credit post for, for getting me fired up again and wanting to get back in the studio and really kind of start over again. You know, I got a new, uh, record deal starting with a, with a whole new team and just kind of really just turned a page.”
