It looks like new music is on the way from one of country music’s favorite couples.

If a new Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani duet was on your 2024 bingo card, you may just be in luck. Popstar Gwen Stefani shared a TikTok video yesterday (Feb 5) with a portion of a new song featuring her husband, Blake Shelton. In the video, the power couple can be seen in the studio working on the new project.

The mid-tempo song has a cheerful sound. A portion of the lyrics that can be heard are:

Wonder why you took a risk /

On a broken heart you cannot fix /

No I never knew a love like this /

Now we’re picking purple irises /

Gwen shares her excitement in the comments section of the video saying:

“We love u guys so excited to share w u 💜💜💜💜💜 gx”

Blake and Gwen’s love story

You can’t help but read the couple’s love story between the lines of the new song. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met in 2014 when they were both coaches on  the reality singing show The Voice. One year, later the pair began dating after both going through highly visible divorces. Blake split from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, and Gwen from Gavin Rosdale.

Five years later, Blake and Gwen announced their engagement in October 2020 and got married in a private chapel on Blake’s Oklahoma ranch in July 2021. The intimate ceremony was attended only by a small handful of their closest family and friends.
