Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell originally planned to say “I do” in front of 200 guests at Australia Zoo on April 4. But the COVID-19 pandemic altered their plans.
The couple made the difficult decision to host their wedding a few days earlier than planned, and without any guests. They were married on March 25 in the Australia Zoo gardens. Bindi’s mother, Terri, her brother, Robert, and her late father’s best friend, Wes Mannion, were the only guests in attendance.
Bindi and Chandler announced their marriage by posting a stunning wedding photo that shows them sharing a kiss.

In the days that followed, Bindi and Chandler released a few more wedding photos through People. The exclusive pictures show the bride and groom posing with various animals from the zoo, including a macaw and a koala.
Bindi and Chandler posted some of these photos on their respective social media accounts, but a few of them were also shared on the People Instagram.

A TV special about Bindi and Chandler’s wedding is set to air on Animal Planet on Saturday (April 18). In honor of the special’s upcoming debut, Bindi, Chandler, and Robert all decided to share some never-before-seen photos from the magical wedding day.
The new photo Bindi shared shows her snuggling up to Chandler while a giraffe hangs out in the background. Bindi captioned the photo with a simple and sweet message, writing, “My husband,” along with a heart emoji.

Chandler’s new photo also showcases one of the pair’s animal friends. The picture shows them holding one of the zoo’s koalas, who seemed intrigued by the flowers in Bindi’s bridal bouquet.
“I get to call this beautiful girl my wife now,” Chandler said in reference to Bindi. “This was the most incredible day.”

As for Robert, he posted a touching picture that shows him walking his sister down the aisle. Bindi always knew she wanted Robert to be the person to give her away, since their dad, Steve, passed away in 2006.
“Walking my sister down the aisle was one of the most special moments of my life,” he wrote in the caption to the photo.
