Bella Robertson Opened Up To Her Sister, Sadie, On Her Struggles With Having A Baby
Duck Dynasty star Bella Robertson recently opened up about her struggle with infertility.
In a clip of her older sister, Sadie, announcing to her that she was pregnant for the third time, Bella shared that her and her husband, Jacob Mayo, have been having a difficult time trying to grow their family.
Sadie explains that she has been nervous to tell Bella the news, as she knows the hard journey they have been on for the past few years.
“I’ve been so nervous and excited to tell you,” Sadie says. “I was just like, ‘I have to tell Bella,’ but I also am so aware of what y’all are walking through and want to be sensitive to that.”
Bella candidly shared that while she is so excited for all of her siblings having children, it is challenging to not know when their time is coming to have one of their own.
“Jacob and I have been trying for three years, so it’s always a little bittersweet,” Bella said. “Of course we’re so excited to have another niece or nephew. But it’s just sometimes a bit hard to like, wrestle with the idea of, like, why is this not happening for us.”

Bella And Jacob Make The Decision To Publicly Share Their Infertility Struggle
Earlier last month, Bella first shared during interview with Us Weekly that her and Jacob were dealing with infertility prior to the season premiere of the Robertson’s new show, “Duck Dynasty: The Revival”.
“I think people just don’t know what they’re talking about or who they’re talking to,” she said during the interview. “We share a story of infertility in the show and that’s something that we haven’t really shared publicly that much, but that’s something that others just don’t know. When you just look at someone on social media, you can’t know what anyone’s going through.”
Bella and Jacob were married when she was just 18 years old back in 2021. He says he wishes getting pregnant was as “easy” as it appears to be for other people.
“I think what we’ve learned in marriage – and you’ll see in our story in the show – is that I wish getting pregnant and having kids was as easy as people act like it is,” Mayo said at the time. “Just, ‘Oh, I can just pop out a kid,’ or ‘If we want to wait, we get to choose to wait.’ It’s not that transactional of a thing.”
The young couple never previously shared their journey, but changed their minds with the hope that opening up on the show would help many others going through the same difficulties.
The Couple’s Love Story
Bella confirmed in 2020 that she was engaged to then-boyfriend Jacob, after just six months of dating.
“i was thankful for you yesterday, i am thankful for you today, and now i get to be thankful for you for the rest of my life! I am blown away by Gods goodness and grace. @jacobdmayo lets get married!! I love you forever” the “Duck Dynasty” star shared on social media at the time.
The two were married on June 5th, 2021, and shared many stunning photos of their gorgeous Louisiana wedding.
